How does Azuna work?
Azuna is a low concentrate tea tree gel. The delivery mechanism Azuna uses is through making the particles airborne rather than through droplets like in a high concentrate diffuser.
This allows for Azuna to absorb the mildew, bacteria, fungus, and odors from the room which it is placed in, rather than masking the issue like a diffuser or mega-brand chemical based air freshener.

How long does Azuna last?
The dissipation rate for Azuna will vary based upon conditions of the room but a good rule of thumb is to think of it as every ounce of Azuna covers 100 sq feet for up to 90 days. For example a 2 oz. Azuna puck will last up to 90 days in a 200 sq ft room. Conditions that could increase the dissipation rate include, but are not limited to:
- Being placed near or directly under a fan
- Being placed in a room with heavy cigarette odors
- Being placed in a room with heavy pet odors
What is the most effective way to use Azuna?
Azuna can be placed anywhere in a room as long as it is on a flat surface. If you are using Azuna for the first time it is recommended that you uncap the product and use without the lid for the first 2-3 days to shock the environment. After that place the lid back on to slow overall evaporation and enjoy the clean fresh air Azuna will provide you with for the next 60-90 days.
Is it toxic? What if my cat/dog/child ingested some?
The Australian tea tree oil that Azuna uses is 100% natural and environmentally safe. Research shows that tea tree oil is typically not toxic if it comes in to contact with the skin unless there is an underlying allergy. If ingested orally it is recommended that you see a doctor, but Azuna’s products are formulated as a low concentrate gel so that it should not cause any long term issues.
How will I know when it is time to replace?
Azuna will harden from its gel form as the bacteria is taken out of the air and into the gel. After it hardens it is still effective for up to 30 days before needing to refill.
